Yidi Yang enters the ITF W50 Wuning match against Daria Khomutsianskaya with stronger recent momentum on hard courts, including a W35 Wuning title run that featured victories over Jiaqi Huang, Chenting Zhu, and Hina Inoue. The 26-year-old Chinese player holds a slight ranking edge at WTA No. 342 compared to Khomutsianskaya’s No. 354, and their head-to-head record favors Yang following a straight-sets win in 2024. Khomutsianskaya, who advanced past Yingqun Sun but fell to Zongyu Li in the prior Wuning event, faces the added challenge of competing away from home against a player comfortable on the surface and in the conditions. Both competitors sit in similar ranking territory, making recent form and local experience the primary differentiators for this round-of-16 encounter.
