Joe Pyfer’s emphatic second-round TKO of Israel Adesanya in March elevated the middleweight contender to the upper ranks, but the cancellation of his planned August bout against Caio Borralho due to the Brazilian’s rib injury has left multiple top options viable. Dricus Du Plessis leads the market at 31.9% as a former champion with recent wins, while Borralho (24.0%) remains a strong candidate after publicly calling for the matchup and recovering from surgery. Nassourdine Imavov (21.5%), Brendan Allen (18.5%), and Anthony Hernandez (17.8%) sit close behind, reflecting their similar divisional standing, recent form, and stylistic matchups that align with Pyfer’s power and wrestling. The narrow spread stems from ongoing uncertainty in UFC middleweight scheduling, with injuries, recovery timelines, and title implications keeping several plausible paths open.
