Elina Svitolina holds a narrow 51% implied probability edge over qualifier Emerson Jones in their Miami Open second-round clash, reflecting trader caution amid Svitolina's veteran pedigree clashing with the 20-year-old Australian's blistering hard-court form. Svitolina, ranked No. 13 with a 14-4 record this season including a Dubai final, boasts superior experience on Miami's medium-fast courts and a perfect 3-0 second-round record here, but recent three-setters signal potential fatigue. Jones, surging after straight-set qualifier wins over Nao Hibino and Moyuka Uchijima, brings fearless momentum and sharp serving that has traders pricing upset potential. A clean Svitolina warmup or Jones nerves could swing odds decisively.
