Elon Musk's March announcement that X Money—the digital payments platform for X—will enter early public access in April has fueled trader focus, with beta testers already accessing peer-to-peer transfers, 6% APY on deposits, FDIC-insured banking via Cross River, and a Visa-backed debit card offering cashback rewards. X Head of Product Nikita Bier's recent hints amid crypto market woes signal an imminent rollout, while a Visa partnership bolsters credibility against competitors like Venmo. Regulatory scrutiny intensified as Senator Warren questioned Musk on transaction safety, underscoring compliance hurdles. Traders eye full launch by month-end, potentially enabling X's "everything app" vision with future crypto integration, though historical delays temper expectations.
