The Cardinals enter the three-game series at Great American Ball Park holding a 61-60 record and third place in the NL Central, one spot and several games ahead of the 57-62 Reds. St. Louis has posted modestly stronger run production and a better recent road mark, while Cincinnati’s offense ranks near the bottom in batting average. Both clubs carry elevated team ERAs and rely on inconsistent bullpens, with several key relievers and starters on the injured list, including Cardinals infielder Ramon Urias and right-hander Max Rajcic. Trader consensus reflects these modest edges plus historical head-to-head trends favoring St. Louis in Cincinnati, though late roster moves, probable starters, and any weather-related postponements could still shift implied probabilities.
