Mercedes leads the 2026 constructors' championship by a wide margin after strong early-season results, reflecting superior car pace, long-run pace, and power-unit optimization under the new regulations. Trader consensus prices this dominance at an 85.5% implied probability, well ahead of Ferrari and McLaren. Rivals have noted Mercedes' qualifying and race edges but express confidence in closing the gap through development. Potential shifts could arise from reliability concerns, aggressive upgrades by chasing teams, or consistent podium pressure that narrows the points gap over the remaining calendar.
