Clement Lemire enters the first-round clash against Kaya Arinc in the M15 Monastir hard-court event with stronger recent momentum, having advanced through qualifying with straight-set victories over Jason Huang, Samuel Constantinou, and Dorian Makarski. Arinc arrives after a straight-sets loss to Goncalo Marques in the prior Monastir edition and holds a modest 5-14 record over the past year at the ITF level. Neither player has faced the other previously, and both compete primarily on the lower-tier circuit where form, match rhythm, and surface adaptation often dictate results more than ranking points. The hard-court conditions favor consistent baseline play, with Lemire’s recent qualifier success highlighting better current fitness and confidence heading into the main draw.
