The 2025-26 season positioned the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs as the clear frontrunners for the 2027 title, with OKC posting the league's best record before falling to the Spurs in a seven-game Western Conference Finals and San Antonio advancing to the NBA Finals. Both clubs return young, high-upside cores featuring back-to-back MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama, supported by strong depth and recent roster continuity into 2026-27. This tight 21.5%-20.5% market split reflects the wisdom of crowds pricing near-identical championship paths, including home/away splits, rest advantages, and head-to-head history, while defending champion New York Knicks and Eastern Conference contenders trail due to greater roster uncertainty.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
