Xinyu Gao enters the ITF W50 Prague final as the slight favorite, reflecting her WTA ranking of 255 and greater professional experience compared with the 16-year-old Jana Kovackova. Both players arrive in strong recent form on clay after straight-sets wins in the draw, with Gao posting consistent results across ITF and WTA events this season while Kovackova has shown solid junior-to-senior transition progress and a high win rate in lower-tier clay events. The surface and home-crowd factor for the Czech teenager create a competitive dynamic, though Gao’s prior Grand Slam qualifying appearances and title history provide the edge reflected in current trader consensus.
