The Orioles enter the August 6 matchup at Camden Yards with a clearer edge in team health and home performance against a last-place Angels squad sitting at 43-70. Baltimore’s 55-58 record reflects steadier recent results, including a 3-1 win in the series opener, while Los Angeles continues to navigate multiple IL placements affecting catchers and infield depth. Probable starter Brandon Young’s 8-2 record and sub-3.50 ERA anchor Baltimore’s rotation advantage, contrasting with the Angels’ inconsistent offense led by Mike Trout amid broader roster instability. Weather and bullpen usage in the day game could further tilt late-inning outcomes, though both clubs face ongoing injury management that limits lineup flexibility.
