Pavlasek and Rikl enter Wimbledon with stronger recent grass-court momentum, posting a 4-2 record during the swing and advancing comfortably through early-round matches on the fast surface. Their combination of solid serving, effective net play, and prior Grand Slam doubles experience gives them an edge in adapting to Wimbledon's low bounces and quick points. Hijikata and Polmans, by contrast, have struggled in recent grass events, dropping early matches in Mallorca and London, though Hijikata's strong singles showing at Queen's has added confidence to the pairing. Both Australian players bring baseline consistency and occasional volleying flair, but the Czech duo's higher doubles rankings and fresher results position them as the consensus favorite in any potential matchup. Schedule congestion and possible fatigue from the long grass season remain variables that could influence later rounds.
