This market will resolve to “Yes” if Eli Lilly signs a commercial licensing agreement, technology transfer agreement, or equivalent binding agreement with Peptron that grants Eli Lilly commercial rights to Peptron’s SmartDepot technology by the specified date, 11:59 PM Korea Standard Time. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only commercial licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements, or equivalent binding agreements that grant Eli Lilly direct commercial rights to develop, manufacture, sell, or otherwise commercialize Peptron’s SmartDepot technology will qualify. Co-development agreements will not qualify. Extensions of the existing Technology Evaluation Agreement or other agreements which are non-binding or do not grant Eli Lilly direct commercial rights to SmartDepot will not qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Eli Lilly and Peptron; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The 87.5% market-implied probability for “No” reflects the limited time remaining and the preliminary nature of the existing relationship between Eli Lilly and Peptron.** Peptron and Lilly signed a non-exclusive technology evaluation agreement in October 2024 under which Lilly is assessing SmartDepot—an ultrasonic spray-drying microsphere platform for sustained-release injectable peptides—on select Lilly compounds. The agreement was later extended to a maximum of 24 months and explicitly does not grant commercial rights. As of early August 2026, no public disclosure of a commercial licensing, technology transfer, or equivalent binding deal has occurred. Lilly has simultaneously advanced alternative long-acting delivery technologies, including a major 2026 partnership with Camurus’ FluidCrystal platform worth up to $870 million that covers multiple incretin and amylin assets. This move, combined with Lilly’s broader push toward oral obesity candidates, has reinforced trader views that SmartDepot remains in the early research stage rather than on a fast track to commercialization. With only two months left before the October 7, 2026 resolution date, completing the multi-step due diligence, negotiation, and disclosure process typical of pharmaceutical platform licensing appears highly unlikely. Traders therefore assign low odds to a qualifying commercial agreement materializing in the narrow window, producing the strong consensus behind the current “No” price.
