The group stage uses four GSL-format groups of 7–8 teams each, where the top four from every group advance to a double-elimination playoff bracket. Matches after the opening round are best-of-three, and the event begins August 28 with VRS points on the line. Recent sign-ups from teams such as LAG, regain, Lotus, NuTorious, and Revel have filled the field, while the open, first-come-first-served format means several lower-seeded or unproven rosters will compete for the limited playoff spots. Strong recent LAN form, roster stability, and favorable group draws are the primary variables shaping advancement odds as the tournament opens.
