Han Shi, the 20-year-old Chinese player ranked near WTA 325 with a career-high of 200, meets 33-year-old Indian Ankita Raina, currently around WTA 610, on outdoor hard courts at the ITF W35 Wuning. Both players advanced from their opening-round matches in the event, with Han Shi posting a straight-sets win over Jia-Jing Lu and Raina defeating Lu Mengqiao in straight sets after earlier success at the preceding Kunshan stop. The younger home player brings recent hard-court momentum and higher ranking into the matchup, while Raina’s experience and solid form in China provide counterbalance on a surface where both have shown competence. Schedule position and any late fitness updates remain key variables for the contest.
