Ava Hrastar and Dasha Plekhanova meet for the first time in the quarterfinals of the ITF W15 Lakewood on outdoor hard courts. Plekhanova enters as the higher-ranked player at WTA No. 646 compared to Hrastar’s No. 773, and she has advanced steadily through the draw with straight-set wins over Sophie Suh and Abigail Haile. Hrastar, an American with recent college experience, carries momentum from her second-round victory over Kate Fakih. Both players arrive on limited professional schedules with modest win-loss records this season, making recent hard-court form and physical freshness the primary variables in what projects as a closely contested match.
