Francisca Jorge enters this ITF W50 Montemor-o-Novo second-round match as the heavy favorite against Alba Rey Garcia, reflecting her substantial WTA ranking edge (around 205 versus 694) and stronger recent results on the professional circuit. The Portuguese player secured a straight-sets first-round victory over Charlotte Keitel and benefits from competing on home soil in Portugal on hard courts, where her experience at this level provides a clear edge. Rey Garcia, a 23-year-old Spaniard, advanced past Carolina Kuhl but has compiled a more limited record at this tier. No reported injuries or late withdrawals affect either player, keeping the focus on ranking, current form, and the surface-specific matchup in the draw.
