Alexia Ioana Tatu enters the ITF W15 Focsani clay-court match against Sara Kastakova with strong recent momentum after straight-set victories over Eva Elena Rosca and Lia Belibova in the same event. The 17-year-old Romanian competes on home soil, where local conditions and crowd support can influence early-round outcomes in entry-level ITF tournaments. Kastakova, a Slovak player with limited senior ITF experience, faces a matchup on clay that rewards consistent baseline play and movement. Both competitors operate outside the WTA top rankings, making form over the past week and adaptation to the slow surface the primary variables shaping the contest. No confirmed injuries or withdrawals affect either side ahead of the round-of-16 encounter.
