Emily Sartz-Lunde faces Irina Khayndrava in the round of 32 at the ITF W15 Kayseri 2 on outdoor hard courts, with the match scheduled to begin May 26. Sartz-Lunde, a Norwegian junior standout who captured the 2024 US Open girls’ doubles title and posted a strong 25-9 freshman season at Michigan, enters with higher visibility and recent competitive experience on the ITF circuit. Khayndrava, a lower-ranked Russian player, has competed in several Turkish W15 events but lacks comparable results or ranking pedigree. No head-to-head history exists, and no confirmed injuries or withdrawals have surfaced for either player. The hard-court surface favors baseline consistency, where Sartz-Lunde’s college-level preparation and junior success provide a measurable edge in a match expected to hinge on first-strike tennis and error minimization.
