Azuma Visaya and Naoya Honda meet in the opening round of the ITF M15 Tokyo 2 on outdoor hard courts, with both players coming off recent activity in the Tokyo M15 series. Visaya, a U.S. college standout with a career-high ranking near 1400, has posted straight-sets qualifying wins and early-round victories on the same surface this month. Honda, a 20-year-old Japanese player, enters with strong recent form including multiple wins in prior M15 Tokyo events and consistent results across hard-court ITF stops. Local crowd support and familiarity with conditions favor Honda, while Visaya’s recent match volume and experience against varied opponents provide counterbalance in what projects as a competitive early-round encounter.
