Barcelona leads the La Liga table with 79 points after 31 matches, nine clear of Real Madrid at 70, virtually locking top-two Champions League qualification with seven games left and Real Betis 11 points behind fourth-placed Atlético Madrid at 46. Villarreal holds third on 61 points, four ahead of Atlético (57), surging past them after Atlético's loss to Madrid and amid their own WLWDW form. Barcelona's WWWWW streak endures despite injuries, showcasing depth in the title race. Atlético's recent LLLWW run and Champions League commitments add risk, while Villarreal's momentum and late head-to-head versus Atlético on May 24 could decide the final top-four spot amid varying schedule strengths.
