Yan Cheng Chen holds a clear edge over 17-year-old Yen-Chun Wang in the ITF M25 Taipei 2 first round on outdoor hard courts, driven by greater professional experience and recent ITF results. The 24-year-old Taiwanese player enters with an ATP ranking near 1050–1350 and a 2026 hard-court record featuring multiple main-draw wins across M15 events in China and New Zealand, despite some early exits. Wang, ranked around 2270 with a career high of 2097, has primarily competed on the junior circuit and recorded limited senior results, including a round-of-32 loss in the prior Taipei M25. Both players are local, but Chen’s deeper match volume and consistency on the surface shape current market positioning ahead of this low-level encounter.
