Onyu Choi and Yingqun Sun, both young players ranked outside the WTA top 750, meet in the ITF W15 Luan on outdoor hard courts in China. Sun holds a modest edge in current ranking (757 vs. Choi’s 812) and 2026 win-loss record (21-14), with recent victories in the same event including a three-set win over Maralgoo Chogsomjav. Choi, coming off a straight-sets loss in an earlier Luan round, has shown inconsistent results on hard courts this summer. As a Chinese player competing on home soil, Sun benefits from familiar conditions and local support, though both competitors lack extensive head-to-head history at this level. Recent form, ranking points at stake, and the hard-court surface remain the dominant factors shaping trader consensus on the implied probabilities.
