Aruzhan Sagandikova, ranked around 700 with prior ITF experience, faces 17-year-old Russian Nelli Ivanova in the first round of the ITF W15 Tsaghkadzor 2 on clay. Sagandikova brings a stronger recent record on varying surfaces, including hard-court wins earlier in May, though she exited the prior Tsaghkadzor event in the opening round. Ivanova holds a limited 5-2 pro mark this year and notched a straight-sets victory in the same tournament against Sarah Suljadžić. With no prior head-to-head meetings, the matchup highlights Sagandikova’s edge in ranking and match volume against Ivanova’s youth and developing game on the slower clay surface.
