Carlos Alcaraz's recent right wrist injury, forcing his withdrawal from the Barcelona Open after a first-round win, has amplified doubts about his fitness for the upcoming French Open, driving the heavy trader consensus (89.5%) toward "None" achieving a calendar Grand Slam in 2026. Despite Alcaraz's Australian Open triumph over Novak Djokovic—completing his career Grand Slam as the youngest man in the Open Era—and a Doha title, Jannik Sinner's red-hot form, including the Sunshine Double at Indian Wells and Miami plus a Monte-Carlo Masters final victory over Alcaraz to reclaim world No. 1, underscores fierce rivalry across surfaces. No calendar Grand Slam has occurred since Rod Laver's 1969 feat; Alcaraz would need flawless health, peak clay mastery at Roland Garros, grass adaptation at Wimbledon, and endurance through the US Open hard courts to challenge this implied probability.
