Netherlands hold the strongest position to top Group F at the 2026 FIFA World Cup thanks to superior squad depth, higher FIFA ranking, and consistent recent results in European qualifying. Japan sits second in trader consensus on the strength of tactical discipline under a long-tenured coach and strong recent results against top sides, though key absences could test their depth. Sweden, under Graham Potter, benefits from playoff momentum and solid organization but trails on overall quality metrics. Tunisia trails the field due to lower ranking and limited recent success against comparable opposition. The expanded 48-team format and three-match group schedule add emphasis to early results, with the Netherlands opening against Japan.
