Punjab Kings lead the IPL 2026 points table with four wins from five matches and a strong NRR of 1.067, boosted by their recent seven-wicket thrashing of Mumbai Indians on April 16, showcasing explosive top-order batting and clinical chases. Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit close behind at second with the league's best NRR of 1.503, their squad depth highlighted in a jump to the top after beating Lucknow Super Giants, with Rajat Patidar's rapid scoring and versatile powerplay bowling driving trader confidence despite Virat Kohli's minor ankle concerns. Rajasthan Royals match the win tally at third, propelled by teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's 15-ball fifty and Dhruv Jurel's exploits in a six-wicket upset over RCB, but a tighter NRR keeps the playoff race fiercely contested among these balanced post-auction units amid demanding remaining fixtures.
