Abdullah Shelbayh enters the Winston-Salem Open qualifying draw as the clear favorite against Ryan Seggerman on hard courts, reflecting his superior ATP singles ranking near 253 compared to Seggerman’s position outside the top 650. The Jordanian left-hander brings stronger recent singles form, including a 2025 Challenger title and prior ATP-level experience, while the American has focused more on doubles success, reaching a career-high of No. 63 in that discipline. Their first meeting offers limited head-to-head data, but Shelbayh’s higher ranking, serve consistency on hard, and overall match-play volume position him ahead in trader consensus for advancing from this early-round qualifier. No notable injuries or withdrawals have altered the field, keeping the matchup centered on ranking and stylistic edges ahead of the August 22 start.
