The Raiders' coaching staff has publicly installed veteran Kirk Cousins as the Week 1 starter entering training camp, with head coach Klint Kubiak confirming he will open practice as QB1 and receive the majority of first-team reps. This decision reflects the team's preference for Cousins' proven experience over the untested first-round rookie Fernando Mendoza and returning backup Aidan O'Connell, aligning with the trader consensus reflected in the current implied probabilities. An injury to Cousins during camp remains the primary scenario that could shift the depth chart, though reports indicate the organization plans for him to open the season barring that development.

In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
