The New Zealand prospect, affiliated with City Kickboxing, called out veteran Ion Cutelaba after that performance, framing the bout as a step-up test against a durable grappler with 20 UFC appearances. Cutelaba arrives on the heels of a first-round guillotine submission of Oumar Sy but carries a 20-11-1 record marked by inconsistency and power-punching volatility. Trader consensus reflects Stirling’s youth, finishing ability, and stylistic advantages in a three-round main-card bout, while noting Cutelaba’s submission threat and experience as the primary upset variables. No reported injuries or late changes alter the matchup.
