Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” dominates trader sentiment in the VMA Best Country category thanks to its record-shattering commercial run, including 22 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Song of the Summer honors, and multiple ACM wins that underscore its crossover appeal and industry momentum. The track’s sustained streaming, radio, and sales dominance since its 2025 release has created a clear frontrunner narrative ahead of the September 27 ceremony, where voters often reward standout visibility and cultural resonance in genre-specific fields. The remaining nominees, including Luke Combs’ “Back in the Saddle,” Kacey Musgraves’ “Dry Spell,” and Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo,” trail significantly, reflecting limited recent chart traction or precursor signals that could challenge the leader before voting closes.
