Yan Cheng Chen holds a substantial edge in this first-round ITF M25 Taipei 2 encounter on outdoor hard courts, reflecting his greater senior-level experience and higher ATP ranking near 1050 compared to the 17-year-old Yen-Chun Wang’s position around 2270. Chen, a 24-year-old Taiwanese player, has compiled a mixed but competitive 2026 hard-court record across M15 and M25 events, including recent wins over lower-ranked opponents, while Wang’s limited pro results feature early exits in prior Taipei M25 events and a junior-heavy schedule. Both competitors are local, but Chen’s age, match volume at this tier, and head-to-head history against similar opposition underpin trader consensus favoring him. Wang retains realistic upset potential given his rapid junior progression and home-surface familiarity, though resolution hinges on confirmed pre-match form and any late roster adjustments.
