Ya Yi Yang enters this ITF W15 Tianjin 3 first-round hard-court match as the clear market favorite, holding a significant ranking edge at approximately No. 502–511 compared to Yingqun Sun’s No. 747–755. The 22-year-old Taiwanese player brings more consistent recent results on the ITF circuit, including multiple wins in prior Tianjin events, while the 20-year-old Chinese Sun has shown mixed form with a straight-sets loss in the preceding W15 Tianjin 2. Limited head-to-head history leaves recent singles records and surface familiarity as primary differentiators, with traders assigning Yang roughly 74% implied probability based on these established edges in experience and current standing.
