Mercedes' dominant start to the 2026 season, securing victories in the opening three Grands Prix—Russell in Australia, Antonelli in China and Japan—has positioned their drivers as clear title frontrunners, with Antonelli leading the drivers' standings at 72 points to Russell's 63. Trader consensus favors Russell at 43.5% implied probability over teammate Antonelli's 30.4%, reflecting his greater experience, racecraft, and consistency in high-pressure situations as a proven frontrunner, while the Italian rookie's rapid rise raises questions about sustaining form over 24 races. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc trails at 6.6% amid a pace deficit despite podiums, as Red Bull's Max Verstappen languishes at 2.2% following uncompetitive results, underscoring Mercedes' early constructor lead and tire strategy edge.
