The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the event organizer or governing body. The 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship field features the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings at TPC Southwind, a course that demands precise iron play and strong putting on its Bermuda greens. With the event opening August 12, traders see a tightly bunched group of contenders for third-round leader because the deep roster—including multiple recent winners, consistent ball-strikers, and form players from the just-completed Wyndham Championship—offers comparable paths to low 54-hole totals. No single golfer holds a clear pre-tournament edge in historical scoring averages or course history that would separate him from the pack. Recent results at Sedgefield, where several qualifiers posted strong finishes, further underscore the parity among the top half of the field heading into Memphis. This setup produces the observed clustering around 49.5 percent implied probability for dozens of names, reflecting broad consensus that any of the well-positioned players can emerge atop the leaderboard after Saturday’s round.
