This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the NWSL for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of NWSL for the 2026 season per the rules of NWSL (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NWSL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NWSL's 2026 regular-season race for second place remains tightly contested because multiple clubs sit within a narrow band of points midway through the campaign, with no team establishing clear separation. Gotham FC holds the Shield lead, but Washington Spirit, Utah Royals, San Diego Wave, and Portland Thorns trail closely behind while fielding balanced attacking and defensive units capable of sustained runs. Expansion sides Boston Legacy FC and Denver Summit FC have injected additional roster depth and schedule uncertainty, preventing any single contender from pulling away. Recent results show frequent upsets and fluctuating form across the middle and upper table, keeping implied probabilities clustered as traders weigh head-to-head splits, home/away records, and remaining fixture difficulty. This parity underscores why several teams share comparable chances of finishing as runner-up.
