Recent polls in Berlin show the AfD gaining ground and occasionally leading or tying the Greens in vote share projections ahead of the September 20, 2026, state election, with AfD support reaching 19% in one INSA survey compared to 16% for the Grüne. National trends favoring the AfD, including its strong performance in other state races and broader polling leads near 28%, have contributed to this positioning. The Greens have faced softer results in some Berlin-specific surveys amid competition from the Linke and CDU, though vote shares remain fluid with several parties clustered between 12% and 22%. Trader consensus on the AfD securing a higher share reflects these polling patterns and momentum shifts observed in the past month.
