Mercedes leads the 2026 constructors' championship by a substantial margin, holding 379 points to Ferrari's 307 and McLaren's 220 through the summer break, driven by strong reliability and consistent points from drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. The team's early-season pace advantage, highlighted by front-row dominance and multiple wins, has translated into a durable buffer that traders view as difficult for rivals to overcome with roughly half the campaign remaining. Ferrari remains the clearest challenger via Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc's results but trails significantly, while McLaren's engine switch to Mercedes power has not yet closed the performance gap. Lower-ranked squads like Red Bull show limited recovery potential based on current form and results.
