Selena Janicijevic, the top seed and WTA-ranked 244 player from France, faces fourth-seeded Greek Martha Matoula in the ITF W50 Haskovo quarterfinals on clay. Janicijevic holds a narrow head-to-head edge and enters with strong recent tournament results after dropping sets sparingly, though her 2026 singles record sits at 9-16 overall. Matoula, ranked around 331 with a career-high of 305, shows solid momentum, winning eight of her last ten matches and advancing comfortably in Haskovo. The 23-year-old Janicijevic’s higher ranking and seeding reflect trader consensus favoring her, while Matoula’s age, recent form, and clay-court experience create realistic upset potential in this lower-tier event.
