The Chicago Cubs enter the upcoming three-game series at Oracle Park with a stronger overall record near .500 and better positioning in the NL Central standings, while the San Francisco Giants sit below that mark in the NL West after a mixed road trip. The Giants captured two of three in the recent Wrigley Field meeting, highlighted by an 18-3 rout and a pair of extra-inning victories capped by Matt Chapman’s RBI single, giving them momentum and a 5-5 road mark. Home-field factors at Oracle Park, along with recent pitching rotations and bullpen usage, figure prominently, as both clubs navigate tight divisional races and schedule demands through mid-June.
