Both Tampa Bay Rays (2-4) and Minnesota Twins (2-4) enter their series opener at Target Field with identical early-season records, highlighting a closely contested AL matchup amid the Twins' home opener. Rays RHP Joe Boyle (0-0, 3.00 ERA) holds a slight edge over Twins RHP Bailey Ober (0-0, 6.75 ERA) based on limited outings, but Rays' infield depth is strained by injuries to 2B Gavin Lux (right shoulder impingement, 10-day IL) and SS Taylor Walls (oblique, IL). Twins build momentum from yesterday's 5-1 shutout win over Kansas City, while Rays seek consistency after recent losses; home/away splits and bullpen usage will be key factors in this low-stakes interleague tilt.
