David Flippo as an “America First Patriot” has consolidated trader support in the June 9 Republican primary for Nevada’s open 2nd Congressional District seat. The endorsement elevated Flippo, who previously ran in the southern district, over former state Sen. James Settelmeyer, who holds backing from Gov. Joe Lombardo and retiring Rep. Mark Amodei. With 13 candidates on the ballot in this safely Republican northern Nevada district, the market assigns Flippo an 80% implied probability while spreading the remainder thinly among lower-profile contenders.
