Liquid scraped a gritty 3-2 triumph against Extinction in their opener, highlighting resilience but exposing potential vulnerabilities in close series. Both squads feature stable rosters post-offseason rebuilds, Dallas blending Korean import Kellan with NA talents like Cjay and Lukemino, while Liquid relies on consistent starters. This matchup is pivotal in the round-robin format, as top-4 teams advance to April playoffs amid a competitive field led by undefeated Spacestation Gaming; recent patch stability favors adaptable comps on standard map pool.
