This market will resolve according to the team that receives the number 1 seed in the National Football Conference (NFC) for the 2027 NFL Playoffs, based on the final standings of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed team to receive the number 1 seed in the NFC for the 2027 NFL Playoffs, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are tied for the best regular season record in the NFC, this market will resolve in favor of the team that is officially awarded the number 1 seed under the NFL's tie-breaking procedures, available here: https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 24, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the number 1 seed in the NFC has not been officially determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL (https://www.nfl.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. With just two weeks completed in the 2026 NFL season, the NFC #1 seed race remains wide open as multiple teams sit at 2-0 or 1-1, creating closely bunched implied probabilities across contenders. Undefeated squads including the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers have posted strong early results, while the Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints hover near the top of division standings. Parity across the conference, combined with challenging upcoming schedules and potential for injuries or momentum shifts, prevents any single team from separating. The wisdom of crowds reflected in current pricing captures this uncertainty, with over a dozen NFC clubs retaining realistic paths to the best regular-season record.
