The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 23-35% for dozens of NFL quarterbacks reflects the inherent unpredictability of Week 1 interceptions thrown. Factors such as new offensive schemes, revamped receiving corps, and early-season rust contribute to elevated turnover risk for starters like Mac Jones, Sam Darnold, and Shedeur Sanders, while established passers including Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson carry comparable exposure due to aggressive play styles and challenging road matchups. Official injury reports, weather forecasts, and defensive rankings further balance the field, with no single signal dominating trader consensus this far ahead of kickoff. Historical data shows Week 1 interception leaders often emerge from unexpected sources amid limited preseason reps.
