This market will resolve to the player who scores the most goals through all main tournament rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by FIFA rules. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the player who scored fewer goals from penalty kicks. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is no leader declared within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Kylian Mbappé holds the top position in the Golden Boot market as France enters the 2026 World Cup with one of the deepest attacking groups and a favorable group stage path that could extend his tournament run. Harry Kane follows closely behind on the strength of England’s consistent knockout-stage pedigree and his proven international scoring record. The race remains tight because several other elite forwards—including Erling Haaland, Mikel Oyarzabal, Lionel Messi, and Lamine Yamal—play for sides expected to reach the later rounds, where extra matches increase goal tallies. Recent club seasons have produced high goal outputs across the contenders, while roster health and minor injury updates have not materially shifted the hierarchy in the final weeks before kickoff. This distribution of talent and opportunity keeps implied probabilities clustered among the leaders.
