Jaqueline Cristian, seeded sixth and ranked No. 33, enters as trader consensus favorite against No. 109 Tamara Korpatsch in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz WTA 500 clay-court first round, reflecting her superior 11-8 year-to-date record and recent hard-court breakthroughs like a Miami fourth round over Ekaterina Alexandrova before falling to Jessica Pegula. Korpatsch counters with qualifier momentum, straight-set wins over Jule Niemeier and Maria Timofeeva this week plus a recent Ostrava final run, boosting her 10-7 mark and 3-1 clay slate. Their lone head-to-head favors Korpatsch 1-0 on clay from 2020 qualifiers, underscoring upset potential amid Cristian's surface transition and Korpatsch's rhythm edge, keeping the matchup closely contested.
