Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff meet in the Cincinnati Open final on hard courts, the first all-American title match at the WTA 1000 event in 56 years. Pegula holds a 5-4 head-to-head lead overall and 4-2 on hard, while Gauff claimed their most recent encounter on grass at Wimbledon. Both players enter with five-match winning streaks and strong 2026 records, though Pegula leads in total victories. Pegula’s semifinal win over defending champion Iga Swiatek lasted nearly three hours, granting her an extra rest day, whereas Gauff dispatched Sara Bejlek in straights with minimal recovery time. Pegula’s consistency and experience on the surface contrast with Gauff’s athleticism and speed in what shapes up as a tightly contested matchup.
