Ajla Tomljanovic enters as the clear trader favorite against Simona Waltert in the Miami Open first round, with market odds implying about 75% win probability reflecting her higher ranking (No. 89 vs. No. 162) and superior hard-court experience. Waltert punched her ticket via qualifiers, logging three matches that could sap energy on the grueling Miami courts, while direct-entry Tomljanovic arrives rested after a solid Indian Wells showing. No injuries mar official reports for either, and with no head-to-head history, traders weigh Tomljanovic's 60% career hard-court win rate against Waltert's qualifier fatigue and relative inexperience at WTA 1000 level. Windy conditions forecast could amplify baseline rallies favoring the more seasoned Aussie.
