Sherif advanced with a straight-sets first-round win here after a Palermo second-round exit, while 22-year-old Romero Gormaz, riding qualifier momentum and recent ITF clay success, notched upsets in earlier rounds yet faces her first meeting with higher-ranked foes at this level. No injuries reported; surface suits both, but Sherif's pedigree tips trader consensus amid competitive odds.
