Yuanyu Chen's ascent to world No. 24 in the latest ITTF rankings, bolstered by a strong 3-1 win over Dean Shu at ITTF World Cup Macao last week and an earlier upset of Hugo Calderano at WTT Singapore Smash, drives trader consensus to a 71% implied probability for him over No. 50 Chun-Ting Wong in this WTT Contender Taiyuan men's singles clash. The 20-year-old Chinese shakehand attacker's momentum contrasts Wong's veteran penhold style and recent inconsistency, including a 1-3 quarterfinal loss to Calderano and a round-of-16 exit to Patrick Franziska at WTT Contender Muscat. No injuries reported; limited head-to-head favors Chen's youth, power, and form edge in the main draw.
